COVID-19 Office Protocols
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we know that there are a lot of changes in place. We are all adjusting to this new normal, and we kindly ask for your patience and understanding as we try to keep Modern Eyes a safe environment for our patients and staff. Please review the important changes in Modern Eyes protocols below.
EXAM ROOM STERILIZATION
Our exam room in our office is sterilized after every patient exam. We sterilize all the exam room, equipment, and furniture and surfaces between each patient and allow time for the room to air out.
SAFETY DURING YOUR EXAM
Please try to limit the number of guests you bring with you to the appointment. Masks are mostly optional at this point in time, but are still required if you are having any COVID-like symptoms (such as a cough, runny nose, or sore throat,) or if you have been exposed to someone with COVID within the past 10 days (even if you are testing negative.)
EYEGLASSES SANITIZATION
To ensure safety of our patients, we ask that anyone browsing for glasses to please place glasses on the sanitization tray to ensure that
frames that are tried on will be sanitized before being displayed again.
SCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS
We are currently accepting requests for all appointment types for patients 5 years and older.
HEALTH ASSESSMENT
If you are currently testing positive with COVID, then we will need to reschedule your appointment. DO NOT COME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY TESTING POSITIVE FOR COVID. We require all patients that have tested positive for COVID to wait two(2) weeks until coming back to our office.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
We request that patients enter the office alone. However, guardians, caretakers, and interpreters will be allowed entry.
If multiple patients be in the office at the same time, we ask you to follow the guidelines of social distancing.
In addition, contact lens orders can be shipped directly to you for a small fee.
